"Vemodalen is the frustration of realizing the impossibility of capturing something uniquely—a moment, an object, or a landscape.
This happens because when we try to capture events, we are transferring the external image. However, when we look at an object, we don’t just see its form; we see ourselves in it. Viewing an event through the lens of our own feelings, it seems unique and special because we are experiencing our emotions. But when we try to capture the object, it becomes difficult to convey those emotions, resulting in a cliché or generic image."

In the digital age, when cameras or phones capture moments quickly and en masse, photos have become so commonplace that they have lost their depth and ability to evoke vivid memories.
But what if there are other ways to understand the past? When memories are captured in a way that is not so familiar to us, it becomes more than just a visual imprint—it becomes a rethinking, a new experience, capturing not only the appearance but also the emotions, the spirit of the time, the sense of place.
Sketches created during travels, on the road, or in moments of reflection allow us to connect with the past as a living part of our lives, to return to moments that will never happen again.

In our time, it seems that there are no more corners of nature untouched by human presence. Even the most remote and wild places on the planet have, in one way or another, been explored, photographed, or at least mapped. Yet despite this, is there still a chance to see the Earth in its pristine, untouched form, free from any traces of human presence?
